About Ernesto Ruiz
My interest in photography started when I was in undergraduate architecture school, in the early 1990s in Puerto Rico. I bought a 35mm SLR for a student trip to Europe and was hooked. I attended graduate architecture school at the University of Minnesota and have practiced in the Twin Cities since 1996. Photography had to take a backseat for many years. In the Fall of 2013 I bought my first DSLR, and since early 2015 my time commitment and investment in photography have quickly escalated. I have been focusing on landscape, cityscape and portrait photography. I love that photography gets me out experiencing the world even in challenging conditions. My focus is on quality and not volume, and I consider myself lucky if I bring back...
